The Origin
Four decades of shared research.
BNCT Global was founded by Prof. Dr. med. Wolfgang Sauerwein, who spent more than four decades in radiation oncology and pioneered clinical Boron Neutron Capture Therapy in Europe. BNCT itself is a story of Japanese and European medicine working together: the therapy was brought to clinical maturity in Japan, and decades of joint research built deep, personal relationships between institutions on both sides. For this work he was decorated by the Japanese government.
